Meal Prep Breakfast Idea

The coolest thing about overnight oats is that you can prepare them super in advance and in the morning they are just waiting to be consumed by you. A super healthy breakfast that provides you with perfect nutrients and guarantees you a good start to the day. The endless combinations ensure that this breakfast never gets boring. Today’s combination is: blueberry & cinnamon – a very tasty combo that you should definitely try. Perfect for Meal Prep and to go. The blueberries are pureed in this recipe – you’ll find all you need for that below. Have fun reading!

Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 70g oats 
  • 1 tsp chiaseeds (or flaxseeds)
  • 1 tsp protein (here: Vanilla)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 70ml oat milk
  • 100ml water
  • 30g blueberry
  • Toppings
    • Yoghurt 
    • Fruit of choice (here: banana & blueberries)
    • Nuts (here: pistachio – fun fact: In the botanical context, pistachios do not belong to the group of nuts, instead they are seeds)
    • Peanut Butter

Kitchen Tools: 

  • sealable jar
  • spoon
  • blender

Directions:

  1. Pour the dry ingredients into the glass
  2. Combine oat milk, water and blueberries in a blender.
  3. Pour this blueberry mixture into the jar and mix. Then close with a lid and put in the refrigerator.
  4. Add Toppings before eating – and you’re done – enjoy!

*The overnight oats can be consumed immediately after mixing and the pure preparation takes only 10 minutes, hence this indication. 

More Tips & Variations

I mix oat milk and water here to save sugar, since oat milk has a slightly higher sugar content compared to other milk alternatives and the other ingredients such as blueberries, banana or the protein powder give enough sweetness. You can of course also use 170ml oat milk or another milk. 

Variations

Blueberries can be replaced with fruit of your choice in the overnight oats recipe, so it won’t be boring. How about raspberries, strawberries or mixed berries?
